Tsugaru Lacquer:
Tsugaru Lacquer was produced in the beginning of the 17th century by a craftsman who was employed in Tsugaru clan leader. The production have been stablished by the traditional skill and original technique that had been developed and improved over 300 years. Tsugaru lacquerware established in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture, where it is located in northern of main island of Japan. The products is made for tea ceremony goods and tableware such as trays and chopsticks. In 1975, Tsugaru Lacquer in Aomori Prefecture was designated as Traditional Crafts.
